Join UC Center Sacramento remotely on Wednesday, July 14th from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm for a talk with Dr. Julie Bianchini, Professor of Science Education and Faculty Director of the CalTeach/Science and Mathematics Initiative in the Department of Education at UC Santa Barbara, on “Asset-Based Approaches to Support Multilingual Learners in Science Classrooms.” This talk will share their asset-based Multilingual Learner (ML) instructional framework and lessons learned from their research that can then inform district and state policy initiatives related to teacher education and professional development in science education. For more information, please go to the UC Center Sacramento website. In light of the community concerns regarding COVID-19, this talk will be given as a webinar.
