SIRC has always been designed to deepen teachers' understanding of science and to provide innovative ideas, lessons, and classroom strategies. This year, more than ever, we want to re-dedicate ourselves to those principles.

Each night there will be 6+ different 90-minute workshops available to choose from and optional 30 minute teacher networking time. Workshop topics will include science, pedagogy, social-emotional learning, and distance learning.

Science in the River City (SIRC) is a standards-based professional development program for K-12 science teachers. This year we will be meeting on Zoom with an optional networking time to connect with fellow teachers, followed by a 90 minute workshop. Each evening there will be a new selection of workshops to choose from with topics including; distance learning, pedagogy, social-emotional learning, and of course, science! All workshop instructors are university faculty, Sacramento area teachers, and experienced Sacramento Area Science Project teacher leaders.
