What can we learn from examining the CA ELPAC science-related test items? Join us to explore how 3-dimensional science teaching and learning can increase students' English language proficiency. This session will highlight guiding principles and effective strategies for supporting Multilingual Learners (MLs) that align with the CA Science Framework and the CA ELA/ELD framework.All students bring their own language and a wealth of experience and knowledge to the classroom. We will model effective practices for tapping into those funds of knowledge, scaffolding language demands without taking away the rigor, and supporting equitable engagement in the science and engineering practices.
